We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Director to generate new business growth, building new client relationships, and ensuring sustained revenue growth. Trapets is a market leader in RegTech SaaS solutions for the financial industry, helping organizations prevent financial crime and ensure regulatory compliance. Our solutions enable advanced monitoring across KYC, AML, and market and trade surveillance, including the detection of insider trading and market manipulation.
About the Role at Trapets
As Sales Director – Nordics, you are a hands-on new-business driver responsible for accelerating Trapets’ growth across the Nordic financial services market.
Your primary focus will be to identify, develop, and close new business across Trapets’ portfolio of regulatory compliance, market surveillance, and financial crime prevention solutions. You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, navigate complex buying organizations, and convert strategic opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
This role requires a driven and seasoned sales professional with a strong track record in new-business acquisition. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Professional Services. The role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is based at Trapets’ head office in Stockholm.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Experience & Background
more than 5 years of B2B solution sales experience, preferably within complex technology solutions targeting companies within financial markets and trading services.
New Business Acquisition
Own the complete sales cycle—from targeted prospecting and qualification to negotiation and close.
Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of new opportunities across the Nordic financial services market.
Consistently meet or exceed new-business, revenue, and pipeline-generation targets.
Take personal accountability for commercial outcomes and maintain momentum throughout complex sales cycles.
Strong commercial mindset and business acumen.
Communication & Influence
Lead consultative sales engagements that connect customers’ regulatory, operational, and commercial priorities with Trapets’ solutions.
Engage credibly with senior executives, business leaders, compliance specialists, and technical stakeholders.
Build compelling business cases that communicate measurable value, business impact, and return on investment.
Lead product demonstrations, commercial negotiations, procurement processes, and executive-level presentations.
Coordinate internal specialists to deliver a optimal purchasing experience.
Sales Process & Data-Driven Mindset
Apply MEDDICC, SPICED, or similar enterprise sales methodologies as a disciplined way of working throughout the sales cycle.
Establish clear success criteria, identify economic buyers, understand decision processes, validate pain, and build strong internal champions.
Maintain accurate and current opportunity, pipeline, and forecast data in the CRM.
Conduct structured deal reviews, identify risks early, and define clear actions that move opportunities forward.
Market and Industry Knowledge
Strengthen Trapets’ presence and executive relationships within the Nordic financial ecosystem.
Identify emerging customer needs, market developments, and competitive opportunities.
Strong understanding of the financial services landscape and the challenges facing regulated organization
Contribute commercial judgment and leadership while remaining personally active in winning new business.
