About the Role at Trapets
Trapets is looking for an AML Data Editor to join our Engineering Department. You will research, validate, and maintain information related to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), their family members, and close associates, supporting financial institutions in preventing financial crime and meeting regulatory requirements.
This role combines AML knowledge, investigative research, and data quality management. You will help ensure that the data powering our AML solutions is accurate, explainable, and regulatory defensible.
Role Responsibilities
Conduct research across public records, government registries, supplier data, and open sources to identify, validate, and maintain high-quality PEP and RCA data.
Investigate and document relationships between politically exposed persons, family members, and close associates.
Contribute to the development and improvement of research, enrichment, validation, and monitoring processes, including AI-supported workflows.
Identify opportunities to strengthen Trapets’ AML data offering through new data sources and improved methodologies.
Ensure data quality, traceability, explainability, and regulatory defensibility through governance and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Support teams to continuously improve Trapets’ AML data capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Strong analytical and investigative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to assess source credibility and maintain high data quality standards.
Understanding of PEP and RCA concepts, sanctions frameworks, and AML regulatory expectations is considered an advantage.
Experience from RegTech, financial institutions, or screening/data providers is considered an advantage.
